SDS (Safety Data Sheet) provides information about the adverse effects of harmful substances and mixtures that you have placed on the market on human health and the environment, and is prepared in accordance with the Regulation on Classification, Labeling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (called SEA in Turkey), which entered into force on 11.12.2013.

According to KKDIK regulation, since 31/12/2023, you will be obliged to provide your customers with a Turkish SDS for the chemicals are sold. In order to assist you in this process, we offer MSDS (GBF) preparation service.

What is GBF / MSDS?

SDS / MSDS is a document containing information to show the harmful effects of substances and mixtures on human health and the environment and limit values in terms of usage.

It is necessary to prevent occupational diseases and work accidents that may occur and to inform people who come into contact with such harmful chemicals.

Which regulation is prepared according to?

According to the Regulation of Classification, Labeling and of Substances and Mixtures (SEA) that entered into force on 11.12.2013 in Turkey.

What language should it be?

Turkish, if you will sell your chemical products in Turkey.

Who need to prepare or present to its customers a MSDS?

Manufacturer, Importer or Only Representative

Who can prepare MSDS?

In Turkey, someone preparing MSDS should have the certificates of KDU (Chemical Assessment Expert) or GBF.

In section 16 of an MSDS; The name, certificate number and contact information of the person who prepared it must be found.

For which substances the company must provide MSDS to all downstream users and distributors it supplies?

• If a substance or a substance in the mixture are classified as harmful according to the SEA Regulation.

• If it is persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic (PBT) or very persistent and very bioaccumulative (vPvB) in accordance with Annex 13 of KKDIK Regulation,

• If the substance is on the list of candidate substances that may be subject to authorization
